Virtual Serial Port

Introduction

The VSP Serial Tunnelling  features are created to allow remotely connecting such a serial software to a network controller, which allows the application functionality to be used without physically connecting to the serial bus.

The tunnel client allows a locally running serial application to connect to a local virtual COM port created by the tunnel client application to send and receive messages. The tunnel client makes an ethernet connection to the Optospark SJR-200 or Niagara JACE network controller, which routes those messages to the serial network.
